A winegrowing family for nearly 400 years, producer of the most prestigious appellations in the Côte de Beaune
Louis Deliance moved to Buet with all his family in 1935 and started mixed farming on 60 hecatres of land. His sons, Raymond and Marcel, worked together for a few years and then went their separate ways. Raymond continued farming, while Marcel embarked on the production of crémant sparkling wines. He acquired a négociantlicense and started selling his wine in bottle. He also made crémants for the winegrowers. Back then the vineyards were very small, barely 1 ha in Givry. In 1972, his sons, Philippe and Gérard, in parallel with the production of Crémants, began planting a vineyard that quickly attained 10 ha in the Givry and Bourgogne appellations. Today there are four of them working 18 hectares of vines to the rhythm of the seasons. Each contributes skills, knowledge and competencies to help the Domaine grow its business. The new generation is perpetuating its know-how of Givry winemaking and Crémants de Bourgogne production based on the famous Burgundy grape varieties of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
