Domaine Jean-Monnier et Fils
One of the oldest wine companies in Burgundy.
The Monnier family created its domaine in Meursault in 1720. Today, it covers 17 ha and is one of the few domaines in the Côte de Beaune to produce both red and white wines. Experienced winemaker Jean-Claude Monnier and his son Nicolas have amassed the knowledge and experience handed down by their forefathers. Today, Nicolas vinifies the domaine's wines in their winery with tender loving care. Whatever the appellation - Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Volnay, Pommard or Beaune - the wines are first and foremost the fruit of the terroir, quality and tradition. Most of the domaine's vineyards are old vines aged 25 to 60 years, which produce excellent wines.
