Domaine Rossignol-Cornu et Fils
A family-owned domaine in the heart of Chambolle Musigny
Domaine Rossignol-Cornu has its origins in the union of two families: the Rossignols and the Cornus. The vineyards in Volnay, Pommard and Meursault have come from the Rossignol family, whose roots have been in Volnay for several generations. The vineyards in Pernand-Vergelesses are the legacy of the Cornu family. Didier Rossignol has been at the head of this 5-hectare domaine since 1989 after taking over from his father. Today, his eldest son Alexandre has recently joined him, being keen to perpetuate the family business. The vineyards, of which the average age is 40 years, are cultivated according to the specifications of each appellation and in a sustainable manner. The wines are produced with respect for tradition, combining modernity and know-how. They are aged in oak barrels for several months (between 12 and 18 depending on the appellation) before being bottled on the property.
